I offer one-to-one training in your own home with your own computer; helping you to understand the basics of :

• using the internet
• e-mailing
• shopping and buying on-line
• eBaying
• downloading photographs from your camera, from the internet or from a memory stick
• making simple presentation slides of your family photos
• loading music and CD’s to your computer and learning how to use them
• using word to write letters
• printing labels
• doing simple home accounting using excel spreadsheets

and generally becoming more comfortable with your computer. 

Depending on what software you already have on your computer, I can probably also help you learn to make greetings cards and other exciting and fun projects. 

I’ve met people who have been to college to learn basic computer skills but have left the course not knowing much more than when they first began.  That’s quite possibly because the computer at college is nothing like your own computer at home.  This is why I would come to you to help you with your own computer.  Also, sometimes in a classroom situation, it’s not always so easy to learn or ask questions.  A one-to-one is more comfortable.

If like me you were born in the 1950’s, you wouldn’t have grow up with a computer in your home (as children often do today) and you’re therefore probably feeling left behind by the younger technologically savvy generation of today.  However, whatever your age and ability, I’m here to help.

Everyone has different needs with their computer so, call me on 07808 718 441 and we can discuss what you already know and what you’d like to learn.  We can then arrange to meet and discuss a plan of getting you far more comfortable and confident in using your computer.

A little about me:
I have been working with computers for more than 20 years and have used many software packages:

• Microsoft Word and Excel
• Publisher and PowerPoint
• e-mailing using various different packages
• Adobe Photoshop
• Quark
• Illustrator
• Adobe Dreamweaver
• iTunes

I use both Windows PCs and Apple Macintosh computers.

I have lived in Andover since I was 9 years of age.  I have a husband, both parents, two daughters and three grand-children who all live in the town too, so you may well already know some of us.

My aim is to help you to become comfortable and to understand your computer.  It genuinely is great fun and really useful.  So, please don’t be afraid of your computer, let me help you to enjoy it. It’s an enjoyable object to have in your home!  Honest!

Fees:
I charge £14 for the first hour as that hour will be used to find out what it is you're wanting help with and whether I can help you. Thereafter, as we work together my fees will be £17 per hour; which includes my travel to and from your home; within a 5 mile radius of Andover.
