Vernoux en Gâtine is the nearest village to the property. The property lies almost equally between L'Absie and Vernoux en Gâtine in a southerly direction. Both villages have lots of amenities including a school, 3 or 4 bakeries between them, a post office, bars, hotels and numerous shops.
Each of them is roughly 2 to 3 kms from the house and are both on the 949BIS. The property itself is on a very quiet country road running 2 to 3 kms from the 949BIS ~ therefore it's very quiet in the area with very very little traffic.
There are some excellent restaurants in the area, many of them nearby; others in the nearby towns of Parthenay, Coulonges, Niort, La Chataignerie and Bressuire; plus others in villages very nearby.
